Adolescent Services

Cove’s Adolescent Outpatient program is designed to treat adolescents ages 12-17. This program educates youth on the consequences of substance use and the addiction process, and assists with developing supports for ongoing recovery aftertreatment. Clinical staff provide group and individual counseling that promote responsible thinking and promote mental, emotional and behavioral well-being. Mental health issues impacting the well-being of youth involved with the program are also addressed with a psychiatric assessment as needed.

Our staff includes a team of licensed counselors and certified addiction professionals, in addition to experts in addiction medicine including physicians Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. Our staff is in tune with current trends and participate in ongoing training relating to substance involved youth. Below are the levels of care currently offered through Cove’s Adolescent Outpatient Treatment programs:

  • Intervention level – One hour of treatment weekly; to include a one-hour individual session with a counselor once a week for 12 weeks in-person or via telehealth
  • Outpatient level – Two hours of treatment weekly; to include two one-hour group sessions weekly, and two one-hour individual sessions with a counselor per month for up to six months (minimum of three months) in-person or via telehealth
  • Intensive level – Nine hours of treatment weekly; to include eight one-hour group sessions weekly Tuesday- Thursday from 5pm-8pm, and one one-hour individual session with a counselor weekly for at least 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, clients will be re-assessed to finish treatment at the Outpatient level (see requirements above) in-person or via telehealth

If treatment is indicated, most insurance is accepted with sliding scale fee available.
