What We Do:

Our goal is to support the youth, families, and schools of Hillsborough County.

Students who may benefit from our programs are:

  • Acting-out or displaying concerning behavioral issues
  • Struggling with anger management, decision-making, problem-solving or stress management skills
  • Struggling with or displaying mental health issues
  • Actively struggling with substance misuse or abuse issues

Anyone can complete our referral form to refer a middle or high school-aged youth in need of services, located in Hillsborough county.

Youth Services Prevention Program:

Our Youth Services Prevention Program provides preventative counseling for at-risk youth in grades 6 – 12 in Hillsborough County middle and high schools. In this program, we use modern studies to increase successful outcomes in our clients. We provide community based presentations relating to life skills, learning topics, and substance education.

  • Individual and group counseling at their school
  • Community based counseling
  • Counseling via telehealth
 

Youth Clinical Services:

Our clinical services in our youth’s programs provide modern outpatient treatment for those in grades 6 to 12, who are engaging in risky behaviors, substance use, and/or showing mental health symptoms. This program works on educating youths on the dangers of substance use and addiction. The program also assists with supporting ongoing recovery, after treatment is over. Our clinical staff promotes responsible thinking as well as mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Our services are offered through:

  • In-school
  • In-office
  • Community Based
  • Online Telehealth

Our treatment team includes Licensed and Licensed Eligible Clinicians (LMHC, or LCSW) as well as Certified Addiction Professionals (CAP) to provide the best up-to-date treatment. Our staff is in tune with current trends and participate in ongoing training relating to substance involved youth.

Our levels of care include:

  • Intervention – Individual Counseling, on average 6-8 weeks
  • Outpatient – Individual and Group counseling, on average 3-6 months

Cove Behavioral Health accepts a wide variety of payors, insurances, as well as access to CFBHN funding for uninsured youth. Take a look at our FAQ for a list of some of our accepted insurances. If yours isn’t on the list, please give us a call at (813) 384-4000 and we’ll work with you to determine your insurance eligibility.

Fees for service will depend on the payer/insurance provider, and we will work together with you to find an option that works best using our Sliding Scale Fee program.
